*** A great resource that I highly recommend is an online service that you can use to find out who is actually calling you - Click Here To Do A Reverse Phone Number Search. My relative was told that they owed nearly $9,000 on an old credit card bill.... Read more →

TV Star Offers To Help You Get Rich In Real Estate

I have been hearing quite a few radio ads lately from real estate guru Than Merrill. He was featured in seasons three and four of the A&E TV show Flip This House. Merrill was also a notable college football star that was drafted by the Tampa Bay Bucs in 2001. His NFL career ended in 2003 when he suffered a knee injury. The ad (voiced by Merrill) says that he is looking to add people to his real estate investing team, and that his flipping opportunity is ideal for the (insert city name) market. Yep, it said that Daytona Beach... Read more →

I don't know if you remember the old TV show The Equalizer. I absolutely loved this show. Edward Woodward was perfectly cast as the main character, Robert McCall. The Equalizer was a retired spy that used his background and special skills to help ordinary people get justice (when the authorities were of no help). By the way, if you missed it, the movie version starring Denzel Washington came out just a few weeks ago. The movie version was a bit more violent than the TV show (see trailer below). You have to love The Equalizer because he was ready, willing,... Read more →

With just three weeks until Christmas, most families will now begin the scramble to come up with the funds to pay for everything. I know I will get the e mails from those that disagree with the overly commercial direction Christmas has gone. I agree with the notion that Christmas should not be about spending a lot of money. Nonetheless, even for those that don't plan on buying extravagant gifts, the holiday season usually pushes all of our budgets to the limit. My children are all adults now and my wife and I don't have to buy Furbies and 'Tickle... Read more →

It may be one of the most bizarre stories of white collar crime I have ever read. His name is Aubrey Price and he will be sentenced next week for bank, wire, and securities fraud. It is a familiar theme, a pastor that has figured out how to beat the stock market. Price, a former pastor turned investment guru in 2009, raised $50 million dollars from investors. The story seems simple enough. He was unable to generate the returns he promised, and rather than admit to the poor results, he cooked the books. Investors were led to believe that they... Read more →
